It’s one of the biggest shopping events of the year: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It’s here! I’m so excited to share with you why I love shopping at Nordstrom and my favorite items included in this years sale!

Nordstrom has always been a favorite store of mine. The store itself is beautiful. No matter what mall I’m at or what store I’m shopping, I always park at Nordstrom lol. I just love walking through that store–just being in there makes me happy!
Before kids, I’d wander around the store for hours on my days off. The Bobbi Brown girl knew me by name, and I’d often hop right on over to the Jo Malone and La Mer counters to see what was new or to snag some samples.
After perusing the shoe department I’d head upstairs to check out the clothing before heading to lunch at their cafe. Mmmm, I’m picturing those sweet potato fries right now!
These days with kids my shopping outings look a lot different—and this year, well shopping in 2020 is a whole other ballgame.
Online shopping is pretty much my speed these days and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one I don’t want to miss. This year there are a few things I’m interested in getting–I just hope they don’t sell out before I can shop!
Anniversary Sale Deets
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale gets me SO excited because it’s a time where many fall and winter items can be purchased with huge discounts! There’s LOTS of hype surrounding the sale but it’s because it’s that good! You can snag some splurge or designer pieces for a fraction of the regular price.
Now with that being said, no one needs to shop the sale. And sometimes there’s nothing we may be looking for in particular, or have a budget for that particular year. And in that case, there’s always next year;)
I previewed the sale online and have quite a few pieces on my Wishlist. If you’re planning to shop the sale here are a few reminders:
- Sale Date: The Anniversary Sale runs from August 19th – August 30th; but if you’re a Nordstrom cardholder, you get early access to the sale depending on your card status–here’s the breakdown:
- Preview the Sale: You can preview the sale items online this year; you can find them here. Find other Sale Details here!
- Start a Wishlist: Anything I’m interested in purchasing during the sale–or my favorite items, I put on my wishlist. Then I can keep track of items going out of stock and makes for easier checkout when it’s time for me to shop.
- Make sure you’re a Nordstrom cardholder: the higher your cardholder status-the earlier you get to shop. Plus, popular items tend to sell out fast!
- Be sure to check out the ‘Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Page’ on my blog in the top right hand corner. And son’t forget to follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it shopping app to see more of my favorite #nsale picks!
I also recommend going through your closet and getting rid of anything you don’t wear. Then see what pieces you could add to your home or wardrobe from the sale items.
Finally, it’s a good idea to set a budget of what you want to spend–and stick to it! This way you won’t be wasting money on items you won’t wear or use–or spend more than you can afford.

CARDIGANS
Gimme all the cozy cardigans! Y’all there are so many good picks! I’m definitely grabbing a Barefoot Dreams cardigan this year–I can’t wait! The leopard ones look like they’re popular and will probably sell out. I am leaning towards the circle one or long one.
SLEEP & LOUNGEWEAR

I think everyone has spent more time this year in their comfies than anyone ever planned! And these sleep & lounge wear pieces included in the sale will keep us doing so in style. I love the pajama sets, cozy socks, blankets and cardigans. And who wouldn’t love warming their feet up in those adorable Ugg slippers?!
HOME
I’m so into black/white/cream/ neutrals this year. I love the hand towels and rug so much!
The Barefoot Dreams blankets are near the top of my wishlist so I may have to grab one of those! The leopard print one is cute but I’ll probably go with a solid color.
Nest diffusers are awesome! I’ve used them as well as their candles before. And the marbled bowl set is too cute!
ACTIVE WEAR
The adidas leopard print sneakers are on my wishlist. I hope they aren’t sold out when I have access to shop the sale! I’ve always been a fan of the Zella brand activewear and Beyond Yoga is my all time favorite brand for workout leggings! (They’re comfy enough to wear everyday or for lounging.)
LEGGINGS
SPANX faux leather leggings are always hyped but there’s a reason why–they’re awesome! I got some a few years ago-and they are my favorite fall/winter legging because they can be styled SO many ways! I’ve never seen the price of faux leather leggings cheaper than this, so if you’re thinking about them-this is the time!

Beyond Yoga is my favorite brand of workout leggings -they’re usually on the pricier side for leggings–which makes them a great buy for the sale.
BEAUTY & ACCESSORIES

The scarf and suitcase are great travel pieces and the Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to snag them.
The Supergoop Sunscreen and Oribe set are on my wishlist this year.
I own and love the St. Tropez Express tanner already and love it. Definitely get their tanning mitt for an even application too!
I probably wear these stud earrings most days–they go with everything! I lost my first pair on a trip to California and then waited for another Nordstrom Sale to purchase them again:)
Remember me mentioning above how I frequented the Jo Malone and La Mer counters? Yeah-about that-they’re awesome. They’re also awesomely pricey. So the sale is a great way to check them out. I first tried La Mer by purchasing a gift set so I could see what items I loved.
Jo Malone has a special place in my heart–I wore Jo Malone on my wedding day! Their perfumes are the best! I also love their body creams and candles. My favorite scents are English Pear & Freesia, Wild Bluebell, Orange Blossom and Red Roses.
KIDS
Kids grow so fast, so I don’t buy a ton of kids clothes from Nordstrom, unless they’re on sale.
Although I did buy these Native sneakers for my daughter at the beginning of the summer and I have to say they are worth it.
SHOES & BOOTS
My Top Picks for Shoes & Boots
There are so many good shoes, boots and booties included in the Anniversary Sale this year. While I wouldn’t mind one of each, let’s be serious. I haven’t been going that many places this year, and spend most of my days at home with the kids. Comfort and versatility are at the top of my list so while these are all my faves, here are the ones I’ll actually be shopping in the sale this year: I love the Steve Madden flats and the running shoes.
***UPDATE*** Some of my favorite items I was hoping to get are already out of stock! Not sure how much they’ll be restocking so I found some lookalikes to some items in the sale.
I already grabbed a few of the sweaters and the leopard sneakers just in case:)
