When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 (or #nsale) is one of the biggest sales of the year! It runs from August 19-30th. But if you’re a Nordstrom cardholder, depending on your Nordy Club status, you get early access. And the higher your status, the earlier you get to shop.
Here is a breakdown of the sale dates and early access:
Nordstrom 2020 Anniversary Sale Timeline:
- July 24 – Anniversary Sale Preview begins
- August 4th – Nordy Club Icon cardholder Status Early Access begins
- August 7th – Nordy Club Ambassador cardholder Early Access begins
- August 10th – Nordy Club Influencers cardholder Early Access begins
- August 13th – Nordy Club Insiders cardholder Early Access begins
- August 19th – everyone has access to the NSALE!
How do I shop the Sale?
There’s not a catalog to preview for the Anniversary Sale this year. But there’s an online preview. So if you haven’t checked out the Anniversary Sale Preview yet, you can do it here!
This way you can figure out what items you might want to shop ahead of time and save them until you have access.
Shopping can be done in stores or online; check your actual Nordstrom location–they may even offer curbside pickup. Especially this year, online for me is the easiest and quickest way;)

Top Tips for Shopping the Sale:
- Preview the Sale: Seeing what items are part of the sale, helps you form your shopping strategy. I also recommend going through your home and closets to get rid of or donate items you don’t need or wear anymore. This way you’ll see what you really ‘need’ or might be looking for during the sale. Favorite the items you like and add to your wishlist on Nordstrom.com! The preview is helpful because it’s broken into categories and items included in the sale are clearly marked.
- Think about the holidays: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great opportunity to not only snag some great deals for yourself, but to also get a head start on your holiday shopping! Make a list of key people on your list and be on the lookout for the perfect gifts!
- Shop early: As soon as you have access, I recommend shopping the sale. This is one of the most popular sales of the year, so items sell out fast. And if you aren’t a Nordstrom cardholder yet and want to be, you can apply here!
- FREE shipping and FREE returns! If you’re not sure about an item, I recommend snagging it before it sells out because you have nothing to lose with their amazing shipping policy.
- Make sure you download the LIKEtoKNOW.it shopping app on your phone. You can search items on the sale within the app, favorite them and save them for when you can shop. This way you can checkout even quicker once you have access! What should I shop for?
Well that depends on a bunch of things: your current life status, your needs, your budget, etc. For me, I just moved, so I’m looking more Home things this year besides some of my other favorite brands.
